As you may or may not know, the Itchy and Scratchy game is a fighting/action game, not a regular side scroller. In every stage the main purpose is to kill Scratchy, nothing else. So because of that I'm writing this guide as more of a general strategies and boss guide than an in-depth step by step guide. Trust me, killing Scratchy is an insanely simple task. It's just too easy. Ya know why? Cuz there's no bosses! So all you have to do is kill Scratchy in each stage and move on. To kill Scratchy just hit him, then jump around while he's blinking and then hit him again. You CANNOT die, it's way too simple. If you do, don't worry. They give you infinite continues anyway. If you go forward you'll find weapon boxes (the picture of a mallet), cheeses, red bowls, and an Itchy head. I guess if you wanna explore go ahead, but you'll run into small stage enemies and Scratchy clones. Also, be aware that there is a time limit of about 6 minutes for each stage. Oh, and do you see that arrow next to Scratchy's energy bar? That just shows his direction if he's off the screen. The green arrow means that Scratchy hasn't spotted you, the yellow arrow means he's looking for you, and the red arrow means he found you and is chasing you. Hmmmm, I think that's it... ==================================================================== ===== 3.0 WALKTHROUGH ============================================== -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.1 Juracid Bath -------------------------------------------------------------------- Bla, too much talk. Let me just tell ya the easiest way to kill Scratchy in this stage. Walk to the right and grab that cheese, then run along the ground. When you reach the third rock structure (those platforms of stacked rocks), climb up to the top two floors. Kill any clones and pterodactyls that you see and climb the ladder. At the top you'll find some TNT sticks. Now climb down the ladder and wait in the middle for Scratchy. When he starts to climb up the ladder swing your mallet or hurl your weapon to injure him. Then just wait and repeat the process. If Scratchy decides not to follow you, just follow him to bait him, then run back to the ladder. I know that was wordy, but it's real simple. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.2 The Medieval Dead -------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to the fabled land of yore, where the clones runneth free and the torture is aplenty. Here you'll run into spikes, platforms, Scratchy clones, and little dragons. Unfortunately there are no ladders in here, so it gets slightly harder to beat Scratchy. What ya gotta do is go forward a bit until you reach a long banquet table on the ground floor. Jump on top and wait for Scratchy to pass by. When he does you have to walk off the edge at the right time so that you are able to hit him from behind. Then jump on top and repeat the process. Along the way and around on all the platforms you can found stronger weapons, so if you want to try and kill Scratchy quickly, feel free to explore. Don't take too long because remember, there is a time limit. Stick to the table method and you should be fine. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.3 Mutilation on the Bounty -------------------------------------------------------------------- Arrrrr matey, welcome to Davey Booones locker! Arrrrr... Beware the pirrrate dogs, sea guuuls, and eviiil clones, arrrrr. Oh man, what is that I see? Ladders, ladders, and more ladders!!! Climb up to the top to get that swordfish and go down to the lowest ladder and wait for Scratchy. Now all you do is repeat the strategy from Juracid Bath where you wait in the middle of the ladder, hit Scratchy, then wait and repeat the process. If you go ahead you can find all kinds of platforms, masts, weapons, and you can even go below deck. You don't need any of that stuff to beat Scratchy though, so if ya wanna go on just kill him quick. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.4 A Site for Sawed Eyes -------------------------------------------------------------------- It's like something out of a New York film. Walk around the clones, buzz saws, and junk piles to get to Scratchy. Although there are no ladders here, there is something similar to the table method from Medieval Dead. Walk to the right and collect a weapon, then keep going until you reach a stack of toxic sludge drums. Now what you do is wait for Scratchy. Be careful because this time Scratchy will jump up to your level. Anyway the basic thing to do is to jump over him so he doesn't hit you, then attack from behind. After you hit him he'll run to the right or left, and the quickest way to get him back is to turn your back to him. He'll run at you and all you have to do is jump over him and attack while his back is turned. As always you can explore around, but there isn't anything useful. Just stay at the bottom near the sludge drums. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.5 The Magnificent Severed -------------------------------------------------------------------- Howdy partner! Welcome to the vile West! Here ya have gotta deal with cacti, cowboy clones, and quick sand! I couldn't find a good strategy here, so I just went to the top of the first stone structure. From up there I grabbed a weapon and I used the jumping strategy to beat him. You know, when he gets near just jump over and attack him from behind. I preferred to be at a high point because you can easily avoid Scratchy should things get out of control. This stage is quite long actually, with ghost towns and such, so go ahead and look. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.6 Disassembly Line -------------------------------------------------------------------- The future is now! Look out for the clones, clocks, gears, and of course Scratchy. This one is sorta hard. but not as hard as the previous stage. What I did was I went to the very top and set myself in a position where I could kill him easily. See, there are these platforms that have those gears right under them. What I do is play it so that Scratchy has to jump up from the other side of the gears to reach me on the platform. From the edge I just start shooting my weapon or swinging my mallet so that when Scratchy jumps I hit him, but he can never reach me. Sometimes Scratchy might come out from behind you, but just jump down and trap him next to the gears again. Perhaps a visual would help: ____I _____gg_S The I is Itchy, the S is Scratchy, the g is a gear, and the lines are the floor. See, Itchy stands at the edge of that platform while Scratchy is at the other side of the gears. ____I-S _____gg__ See that line between I and S? Well, that represents when you should hit Scratchy during the jump. It's not hard to spot, just jump your way up and you'll see what I mean. There are a few spots like that at the top. There's a whole bunch of other stuff, so feel free to get them if ya think it'll be useful. Congratulations, you annihilated Scratchy! That's for all the mice of the world... ==================================================================== ===== 4.0 CODES & SECRETS ========================================== Game Genie Codes 002 76F B30 Start with 4 lives and 4 continues 012 72F F7A Start with 1 life 072 72F F7A Start with 7 lives 092 72F F7A Start with 9 lives 0F2 72F F7A Start with 15 lives 3EE 3D5 B31 + 01E 3E5 F7E Start with very little energy on your first life 3AA CAB 2A2 Infinite energy 3E9 14E 4CA + 3E5 54C 4CA Almost Invincible 3A2 E2B 2A2 Infinite lives ==================================================================== ===== 5.0 LEGAL / MISC. ============================================ -------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.1 Version History -------------------------------------------------------------------- June 05: Version 1.0 - - - - - - - - - - - First new version.
